Women's Hanfu: Flowing Silhouettes for Every Body and Occasion
Women's Hanfu is the heart of the Hanfu revival. From the gauzy romance of Tang ruqun to the structured elegance of Ming aoqun, women's Hanfu spans an extraordinary range of silhouettes, colors, and moods. There is a style and a fit for every body type, every budget, and every occasion.

The Look
One silhouette, endless dynastic dials.
Women's Hanfu spans three thousand years of looks. The right dynasty choice comes down to your body type, the occasion, and the mood you want to project.
Choosing the Right Dynasty Style for Your Body Type
| Body Type | Best Dynasty Style | Why It Works |
|---|---|---|
| Petite | Song Dynasty, Modern Hanfu | Slim, vertical silhouettes do not overwhelm a smaller frame. Beizi jackets elongate. |
| Tall | Tang Dynasty, Ming Dynasty | Tang's high waist and Ming's floor-length skirts leverage height dramatically. |
| Curvy / Hourglass | Tang Dynasty, Ming Dynasty | Tang high waist highlights the bust. Ming mamianqun's A-line defines the waist. |
| Athletic / Straight | Ming Dynasty, Modern Hanfu | Ming's structured shape creates curves. Modern Hanfu's relaxed fit is naturally comfortable. |
| Plus Size | Ming Dynasty, Tang Dynasty | Adjustable waist ties accommodate fluctuating sizes. Loose, flowing cuts are naturally forgiving. |
